St. Jude Penny Wars
“Penny Wars” will start on Monday, January 25, 2020 and continue until Wednesday, February 10 in the elementary hallway!! A teacher will be standing outside each classroom in the mornings from 7:45-8:07 with a bucket for the money. Students are to place their money in that container and cannot enter any classroom other than their own due to COVID precautions. Here is how it will work:
The class with the most points wins a reward.
Pennies and paper money count as positive points.
Silver change takes points away in amounts equal to the value of the coin. Ex. a quarter will remove 25 points from whichever bucket they drop it in.
Goal-Fill your classes bucket with pennies and dollars and put your silver change in other buckets to remove points from them.
All proceeds will go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital during the radiothon on behalf of Junction Hill.
Middle School
St. Jude Penny Wars
“Penny Wars” will start on Monday, January 25, 2020 and continue until Wednesday, February 10 in the middle school hallway!! Every homeroom class will have a container for money. Middle schools will be a little different than the Elementary. We are gonna do one penny per point. We will not take away points for silver change, The class with the most points at the end of war will receive a reward.
