eMINTS Training at Junction Hill

On Tuesday afternoon, three of our Junction Hill teachers began the 2 year process of becoming eMINTS certified teachers.  Derek Woodworth, Erica Spittler and Sabrina Cornman has committed to complete over 72 hours of training in this first year of the program to meet the demands of digital age teaching and learning.  When asked to give an explanation of what eMINTS means to them, the three teachers collectively agreed:

"In order to fully grasp the key concepts within eMINTS preparation, factors consistent with authentic learning, empowering technology, building a community of learners, and high quality lesson design must come into play.  In order to create a more meaningful experience, real world experiences must be applied to create more interactive opportunities that provide a multitude of sharing opportunities.  Building communication builds on, as well as, creates stronger relationships to reach multiple intelligence and to integrate multiple learning styles."
