Junction Hill School received their Business Lighting Rebate of $2,937.36 from Howell Oregon Electric Cooperative today. The school replaced all of their fluorescent lighting with LED bulbs reducing our kilowatt usage and saving an estimated $500 per month. The new lighting uses roughly 25% of the energy that the fluorescent lighting consumed. The LED lighting is brighter and a more consistent light throughout the building along with reducing maintenance costs of labor and ballast replacement that are used with fluorescent lights. The cost for the project of $17,700 will be recovered in approximately 30 months.
